A pressing issue for discussion -

Is Winderlich gonna come into the seniors exclusively as a HBF?

Has he demanded this as a means of self preservation?

Or is he just getting his match fitness back by playing there?

Quite clearly we need him in the forward pocket.

he was moved back by bomba last season because he was nothing short of terrible up forward

if hes going to play anywhere itll be off hb

lucky for him demps/ pig and gleeson arent in great form

will probably play a couple of games i think once he gets fitness back

since hes on the list and we are largely ■■■■■ atm may as well give him a go, if anything so he can end his career on a positive

with all this guy’s back issues I’m not sure why he hasn’t just pulled the pin this year…love Winders but playing AFL again is an accident waiting to happen.

could coach forward line and teach them how and where to lead to.

He’ll reinjure himself in his first game back. Sorry, I know, but you know.

We desperately need his skill and nous, but we can’t rely on it to be there.

Whilst we have a million half backs, I reckon they have indentified this as a weakness in the senior team. We are not getting good ball delivery from half back this year and need someone like a winders to play there.
Agree we are missing a good forward pocket player but no point having another wasted talent there with the ball delivery atm. It all starts from half back apparently.
That’s all I can think of anyhow.

Is he playing half-back or IS HE half-back, that is the question!

SWINGMAN

Seems as though the optimism and positivity has spread to this thread as well.

What’s the pointy of playing Winderlich in 2015?

Won’t be around in 2016, so give him a farewell game in Round 22. Anything else is not looking to the future.

The "one more player we need" on our team is a full season of Jason Winderlich. Top 5 player on our list for skills. Genuinely elite. A-grade. (Clearly one of my favourites)

112 games in 11 seasons.

We’ve been robbed.

24 games next year please, Footy Gods.

We are a far better team when he plays. Skills, speed and smarts.

Oh and of all the fluff pieces on The Hanger this year, really enjoyed his. Seems like as nice, normal and genuine a bloke as there could be in footy. Perhaps Dustin Martin can move in with him...

Clearly a gun.

Clearly can't play more than 3 games in a row.

Please footy gods let him get a clean run at it.

Would be an AA easily if his body allowed him to play a full season.

Watching some video recently from about 5 years ago, Dennis was saying how much better a team we are with Winderlich in it. You can add Dempsey in there too.

And we lost both of them in one quarter.

Very good in very short bursts

we are a better team with him fit & firing!

Man love. Reminded me why he was so important when he did get on the field this year.

Please be fit next year Licha!
