A couple more kg's/bigger tank and he will be a sensational 150+ game wingman moving forward.Kid has great intent to create play by taking the game on.plays the game as it should be played.
Yep he’s far too light for afl. Needs to put on the kgs

This guy is emaciated. Honestly. Could he be any good as a footballer?
This guy is also thin.
Why does he have to be made fat to play good footy?
Would you say that about Gunston? 2015 : 53 goals.
Firstly they are two totally different players who play different positions.
One is 3cm’s taller than the other and 9kg’s heavier.
One kicks bags of goals each week and the other gets continually rag-dolled and tackled and loses us countless moves forward because all a player has to do is tap him or breath on him and he falls over.
Gleeson is a daring half-back flanker who often tries to break lines and uses his speed and elusiveness to beat opponents. As the year went on he did this less and less because as he would attempt to run the angles and cut past opponents like all line-breakers should, his moment couldn’t even get him passed players who could only outstretch one arm to attempt to tackle him.
He needs to bulk up and fast otherwise people are going to continue to figure him out and shut him down like they did from the halfway mark of 2015.
Firstly they are two totally different players who play different positions. Some movement forward of the ball would help with Gleeson's decision making. I believe that many of the times when he stops and props and gets tackled are as direct result of him having no options other than by going sideways or backwards which clearly isn't his natural instinct. I think a better structured forward line will help him take the next step to becoming a really damaging half back. I don't believe his size will hold him back. There are plenty examples of skinny AFL footballers carving out long careers - heck look at the blokes who have played 400 games. One is 3cm’s taller than the other and 9kg’s heavier.

I’m not saying that he isn’t classy or that sidestepping is his natural game because I believe he is a classy footballer who’s game is to run and carry.
But he cannot shrug tackles to shave his life or at least he couldn’t after the half way point of this season.
No movement ahead of the ball goes without saying, I don’t blame him for being caught when stagnate as our game plan from round 3 onwards was to receive the ball and immediately offload the ball to someone behind you who was flat-footed. But when he is running past opponents like he is supposed to and gets caught at full-tilt by an opponent with one arm, you need to bulk up.

Yes . Ok they are different, one is 3 cm taller, one is 9kg heavier, one is 5 years older than the other.
I am not comparing them at this moment in time. That is not valid. When Gunston was 19 he was a scrawny kid. He is still scrawny, and does alright for himself, especially as he is fed plenty of good ball by the Hawthorn mids and half backs.
Incidently, did you check out Gunstons finger in that photo. Ouch !

Yep that woulda stung
Gunston emaciated? Yeah, no.

I dunno if shaving is something Glees is going to have to worry about in the near future.
Needs to come out in 2016 with Melksham-esque arms
Thought he was disappointing this year. Definitely needs to bulk up, and to be more decisive with the ball in hand. Seems to have lost of confidence, and developed some bad habits. Agree he wasn’t helped by movement up field.
I’d be surprised, and disappointed, if he ends up a defender. Hasn’t got the tools for that, and would be a waste of his talents. Reckon he’s a player who needs to be nurtured, and who would benefit on some one on one coaching. Got it in him to be a very good footballer, but has to get a move on.

He should model his game on Kade Simpson. He is still very skinny and small but has been a very good footballer. Even if he does play for Fark Carlton.
He’s 6’1" ffs.
His height is not an issue.
Progress stalled massively this year. Hard to think of a more disappointing Essendon player in 2015.

Think of Dempsey then

Really?
What exactly were you expecting of Dempsey in February?

Rather cryptically I meant most failed to improve as expected.
Carlisle would be up there, but for various reasons I’d give him a much bigger pass.

Ahh I didn’t read it that way. Thought you meant he was the most disappointing player overall in 2015.
