Play on was the call…

Also, “Don’t argue” is a farking outstanding name for the action. “Stiff-arm” or “Fend-off” are boring.

Yeah but you’d think it would be taught at training, it’s such an advantage imagine having 2 or 3 in your team.

I always thought you should hold the ball in two hands and use it to “stab” opposition players, like a tool. Get them right in the solar plexus and run. But I am a psycho, I think.

The danger in that approach is that the opposition can target the ball and knock it out of you hands. Tucking it under the arm and pushing off with the opposite hand/arm is not only the accepted method, it is also the safest in terms of protecting the ball.

This was what annoyed me about Dusty’s fend offs. Go back and watch and most of his were in the neck or face which should all be illegal but dusty. Some pics for your perusal

Dane Swan dealt out a massive don’t argue to Baguley in the 2014 Anzac day, that still haunts my dreams.

is there a video of this? Was it a dreamtime game?

I remember him doing a rundown tackle on Dusty once but not the thing you mentioned.

I think this is where Mr. Miyagi’s “wax on, wax off” should come into play.
