That can happen. I got a client recently because the previous accountant let the person get sued for unpaid tax just cause they forgot to remind them.

My mates companyâs accountant wasnât paying the appropriate tax, then he got the big bill, couldnât work out a deal with ATO and went bankrupt. Accountant moved on to new company.
