Adrian Dodoro - Flankers into Mids since 2000 (Part 1)

That’s because we don’t play any of them in the senior side…

He has given the coaches the best list since the early 2000s, we just can’t seem to develop the youngsters properly.

Our development is complete garbage

I think it’s more opportunities than development.

The VFL side is as good as it has been for a long time and they actually play with some ticker.

The kids we play at senior level aren’t given enough responsibility and our leadership group is nothing short of disgraceful.

Given he’s been at the club since 98 that’s not actually an achievement.

Thats precisely our downfall
No big bodies in the midfield who CAN play apart from Stringer when he goes there
Jobe Watson was a lone hand for many years and got worn out

Anyone responsible for resigning zaka has to be sacked immediately. Isn’t Dudoro one of those gooses

Just to think how quickly you turn on the bloke… two years ago many of you wanted a statue erected in his honour for getting us Smith, Saad and Shiel for a 1st and couple of 2nd rounders.

Most of us have thought he’s been ■■■■ this whole time. The evidence has been there for many years

Look at Brisbane, then look at us

He’s stayed in the gig because like supporters, management overrate our kids. They think the current crop are much better than they are, and that’s evidence that Disco is getting it right. By the time they realize the kids aren’t that good, they’re enamoured by another crop of kids.

Disco has had the job for such a long time there are no excuses. Four coaches have come and gone during our finals winning drought, and he is the common denominator. At some point surely management will realize there are much better list managers going around. A club with our resources should make securing the best young talent a priority.

A good pointer as to where we are is to look at GWS. They were thumped by West Coast by 52 points yesterday. Where does that leave us?

Teflon Adrian would survive a nuclear holocaust and be selecting mutant flankers.

Actually, we’ve had players leave us and be pretty good at their next club.

We’ve even had players who hardly got a game with us be given another chance at other clubs.

There is no issue with the talent selection.

Absolutely trashed our list when he got rid of hocking ,howlett etc on the premis that langford and parish will be guns

Oh well there must be no issue with Dodoro’s 15 year tenure of failure. Move along guys, Melksham had a few good games for Melbourne

Langford and Parish were never in the convo to be delisted when Howlrtt and hocking were dumped.

Players like Jerrett who add minimal on or off the field are the ones who should have been delisted before Hocking and Howlett. Seeing Baguley in the forwardline makes me wish we had one of both of them back at the club.

The Herald/Sun published a list of the top 20 player drafted in the 40s since 2009. Not one Essendon player made that list.

In the 40s or beyond the 40s? Hooker would be stiff, maybe Raz

Hooker was 2007

Not surprising considering we’ve only had 3 players picked in the 40s in that period.

2010 Alex Brown (48)
2016 Kobe Mutch (42)
2017 Houlahan (49)
