Yeah, I have very little interest in anything AFL outside ourselves now, but that wasn’t footy it was a deadset comedy show.
How have the NSW/QLD Academies not been mentioned yet? Rather than get involved and actually grow the farking game by getting kids playing themselves they’d prefer to sit back and get fat off the profits. Let the teams do all the legwork. And hey, let’s encourage them to do it by giving the northern teams an unfair advantage by giving them priority access to any talent they unearth. Further kickers - make it easier for the northern teams to get these kids than it is for traditional teams to get father son recruits. Let’s let Sydney put Longmire’s kids in the academy as well so Sydney get access to them to. After all, the academies are about getting kids who wouldn’t otherwise be trying AFL, right? Those Longmire kids… certainly weren’t going to be playing AFL were they? Yeah right, probably saved them from farking basketball didn’t they?
I absolutely loathe the AFL.Me to, which is why I don’t watch any other games apart from ours, I don’t read any news about AFL (apart from what gets posted here) and I don’t watch any shows re AFL although must admit never watched those shows in the first place.

I love the Essendon Football Club and will always do so, but the sport and league it plays in may as well be dead to me.

They left out Peter Box - Brownlow medallist from the team of the century. Perhaps they knew the players that he embarrassed on the field.
