Best thing I’ve seen all year.
Fark, Hocking did/said something good. That’s end-of-the-world level trouble.
If you don’t click through, they’re back from next week in the AFLM too.
Why were they banned?
Covid
Yeah I gathered that, but why? Covid on the tissue paper? Why couldn’t they have been from the start of this year?
Stop asking so many questions. Geez!
Apparently there were international supply chain issues with obtaining sufficient Covid-19 proof tissue paper.
FarkCarlton had stockpiled the entire national supply in the mistaken belief it was a) toilet paper, and b) make them a destination club.
The only good change the corruptFL has done in recent years is the ruck circle (or UFO landing spot as my father once called it).
Any person has to have a working brain, don’t they?
Shortening the quarters will be a ■■■■ stain on the game. Plenty of other time wasting crap can we cut from the game before we shorten the quarters.
About bloody time
Good see the AFL is finally listening to the fans.
IMO, more likely it had something to do with gambling/betting rather than fans
Good move. Now to do something about the ear-splittingly loud music and inane ground announcements that make it impossible to have a conversation with people next to you.
Get rid of the ■■■■■■ music after goals. Actually kills atmosphere already being made by the crowd.
The cynic in me tends to believe it had something to do with blowback from betting.
I’d prefer to believe it’s because the AwFuL got so farked-over by covid, and is struggling so badly financially that it is now shitscared of losing any more fans because it just can’t afford to…
Did they do it at the 'G? I know they did it at the Hawks game but didn’t notice it at ANZAC day.
Maybe it’s just an Essendon thing (home games)
Why did they change it anyway? Their excuse was was give teams more time because of potential injuries last year and quick turn around, but why keep it for this season?
Can’t recall if I heard Let’s Get Loud on Sunday after one of Tippa’s snaps. From memory, I’d say no.
I definitely heard it in round 1 but don’t remember hearing it on ANZAC day.
