Turns out there is no penalty to stepping over the line when kicking out. Ball just comes back to you and the clock doesn’t stop. Now that’s a freaking huge loophole in the rules!!!
As for the Saad free, did he really get called for running more than ten metres only after he’d run 25, and they retrospectively paid the free fifteen metres back? Or did they pay a 40 metre penalty?

Although in the end it came down to accuracy we had a very wrong team, positioned weirdly. Why the hell would Smack (who was clunking well) not go forward? Nah, Green is da man.

Enjoyed it more than AFLW.
More tackles in the Essendon v Hawthorn game than all of the comp on Thursday probably helped.

Simple answer is we beat Saints and Saints beat Hawthorn. Then it comes down to percentage or points scored or some other calculation that the AFL has not revealed.
