Weagles scared of finals. Margin back to 58-40
It was never a mark. Adelaide player was in front; got hands to the ball. Brisbane player then fumbles it to the ground. Ball up all day. It was an easy call to for the umpire so can’t believe they paid the mark.
I know the current ladder doesn’t suggest it, but FCFC bothering to beat Port would be handy for us.
0-7 they have the early lead.

I think the good thing is if we do make the eight, even if we finish eighth, there isn’t going to be a standout team outside the top four.
Last year Geelong was a standout team who finished fifth.

Blind Freddie knew this was coming.
They over-ruled a goal a few weeks back based solely on the chip, which is beyond stupid as I doubt the chip is perfectly centred within the ball at all angles and rotations.
Ah well, it only changed the result of the game.
To be fair, result of Coll vs GC isn’t impacting finals this year.
But the chip in the ball is a dumb idea.
Amy McDonald out for 3-5 weeks with a hamstring.

If this occured in the mens game it would be talked about for weeks. What a shambles. Reminds me when cricket first bought in DRS and it was a shocker.
For context, just in case: “Kearney is the competition’s sole eight-time All-Australian” (we are now in season nine).
I believe she’s missed just one game across those seasons (round 1 of 2022).
Kearney, Blackburn, Toogood, Molloy. The comp is missing some absolute stars at the moment.

If we assume they can’t beat the Bears and Crows (both at home), the Cats need to win three all of their other four games (Freo tonight at home, and away versus Tiggers and WCE and Swans) to have a shot at finals.
Note that they currently have a decent percentage lead on WCE, the likely other team-with-a-draw they need to worry about.
EDIT: I can’t do maths. Upgraded their challenge to four wins.
Honestly, I’d be less shocked if they dropped one of those four, but arsed a win vs Lions or Crows.
They are an enigma at the moment Geelong. They can play some great footy and then, drop of a hat, they’re complete garbage.
