If everyone else can catch up to Adams and Gee we’ll be alright.
Just maybe not versus Norf.

Chambers hobbles off. Right ankle?
More on Gamble to cover, badly, now.
VanDyke is not a great replacement for Bonnie at FF.
(Alexander off since halftime. Daria has been busy.)
Gamble off bloodied face.
Is playing everywhere. Currently back.
If we double our goal tally three more times in the next minute, we win.
Norf decline to take the post-siren shot and officially win.

Thank fark there’s real footy next week.
A belting in a practice game wtf is going on
Natalie Wood not a very good coach it seems
Business as usual, I’d say.
At half-time!
Prespakis limited time. Gaylor and Belloni not Stars of the Game yet. Adams and Gee our next best smalls, but both played forward.
If you want to put yourself through the pain, here’s the match replay:
Watch the first quarter, which is a great fast-paced tussle, then turn it off.
We be (potentially) ■■■■■■.
ESSENDON will be sweating on scans for All-Australian half-back Maddi Gay, who injured her knee in Saturday’s practice match loss to North Melbourne.
Gay suffered the injury in the second term and sat out the remainder of the 81-point defeat.
Results of the scan aren’t expected until later on Monday.
Gay has had a history of injuries across her AFLW career, but thrived with a rare fully fit season in 2024.
Oh no.
That would ruin our season before it even starts.
Bet she’s done her acl
Some extra stats from Gemma Bastiani:
AFTER a sluggish start, where Essendon pressured the life out of North Melbourne, the reigning premier put the foot down to post an 81-point practice match win on Saturday.
Maddy Prespakis (17 disposals, six inside 50s) and Georgia Nanscawen (24 disposals) were busy early for the Bombers, both working hard around the contest and pressing forward, but once the Roos got going, they proved impossible to stop.
New North Melbourne captain Jasmine Garner (24 disposals, three goals, six clearances) was immense moving from the midfield into attack, and Ash Riddell (33 disposals, seven clearances) was her usual dominant self in tight.
In the absence of Sarah Wright, replacement signing Tessa Boyd (14 disposals, six marks) took up a post in defence alongside premiership backs Jasmine Ferguson (eight disposals, three marks) and Libby Birch (20 disposals, 10 marks).
Meanwhile in attack Irishwomen Blaithin Bogue (13 disposals, three goals) and Amy Gavin Mangan (13 disposals, three tackles) put their hand up for a potential round one selection.
It was at stoppage that the Roos took hold of the Bombers, who were without first-choice ruck Steph Wales, with the clearance count of 19-36 North Melbourne’s way the biggest indicator of the latter’s control.
Young Bomber Amy Gaylor (19 disposals, four clearances) was among the side’s best despite the loss, and top draftee Grace Belloni (17 disposals, two clearances) worked into the game well.
There are some injury concerns coming out of the game for both sides, however, as Maddi Gay suffered a knee injury – its extent yet to be confirmed – and Tahlia Randall rolled an ankle in the first half.
New North Melbourne recruit Eilish Sheerin got through the first half of the game unscathed, and after managing some knee bruising, was put on ice after the main break.

You’ll have to get your kinks satisfied somewhere else today, Nino.
Still doesn’t read like she will be ready in 11 days time.
Phew. Hopefully she’s right for the last 6-weeks or so. Tough stretch that one.
