I said we looked cooked…then we managed to find a bit in the end there. Nanscawen…what an absolute beast. ■■■■ you commentary! You should be ashamed of yourselves.
Thankfully our W program hasn’t been tainted by the black hole that has consumed the rest of the club.
Great fight in the last quarter. Looked a real team effort. Still quite a few mistakes with short kicks but our running power out in space looks so much better than last year.
Didn’t we win a wheelchair premiership?
Community Cup - yep!
- Nanscawen almost twice Gaylor’s fantasy points
– game-high 12 tackles, equal-high for score involvements, our top for clearances - Our inside fifties were very spread out: Cain and Belloni our top
- Clarke easily our best for rebound fifties, ahead of MORCS, Queen G, and Princess G
- Princess G (8) and Queen G (7) topped intercepts.
- Queen frees for = Princess + Daria frees
- Gladman 100% disposal efficiency in her debut game (3 disposals)
- Conti 17 contested possessions, Queen 16, Princess 10. Uncontested Prespakis was top.
- Clarke 479m gained, our next best was Prespakis on 356
- First-year-kid Belloni on ground the longest (93%) for a “quiet” 17 disposals. Nanscawen and Alexander at 92%
When we are at full strength…
Gay, Wales, Toogood (I know she’s not injured) and SVH as well. That’s four massive outs tbh.
Radford ACL as well.
Nanscawen looks buggered so it must be pretty demanding conditions.
She normally looks like she wouldn’t blow out a candle after a full game.
Last quarter, after Blitz had reached consensus that we were going to lose:
Eat a catering sized bag of clunges, Paige.
Gay, Wales, Toogood (I know she’s not injured) and SVH as well. That’s four massive outs tbh.
Radford ACL as well.
But even with everyone fit we still can’t compete with North or Brisbane can we?
I wouldn’t have thought so.
Oh, top level players are absolutely key to it. It’s when you add a few more at or above the Bonnies/Gays/Waless that you become harder to control.
We’re very much a quality BIG low at each end, and a couple legit speedsters.
(Alexander plays small, and Gamble on the wrong player will get badly exposed for speed.)
