Note: this is not Dyke.
Morcs was awesome first game back. Solid attack on the footy. Left her player to shut down an attacking move a couple of times.
Really liked Vogt’s game and really, really liked Scott’s game.
The move to Windy Hill was an excellent decision whoever it was that made it.
Impressed by Alexanders games this year, has improved immensely.
Close enough to confirmation that the AFL typo-ed the crowd two weeks ago: today’s crowd is reported as 2822, so the previous one must have been 3195 rather than 3915.
I think it was always the plan, just didn’t have time last year to make it happen with the cricket club and renovations.
But I agree, it brings people to the ground for nostalgia
AuStadiums know the hill and various stands have been removed since the 1990s, but are sticking to the capacity of Windy Hill being 10,000.
I don’t know why they’re not opening the top of the Hird Stand – one door, easy enough to ticket that, and they can keep the middle deck as is for players/staff/families – but even then you’re not getting 5,000 in.
The AFL will use dodgy figures like that to deny the league extra rounds (OK, hopefully Windy Hill is rebuilt in time).
