All Australian 2024

What’s your point here though? Darcy Moore isn’t in the squad.

This improvement in D’Ambrosio is starting to make me question the departure of Dodoro. Perhaps it’s not the players that are ■■■■ and in actual fact it is everything around them making them ■■■■.

Yep. Saw the name Darcy and Collingwood. No sub editor’s job for me🥵

Its a concern. If you were a driven, intelligent young player looking to consistently improve would want stay at the hanger or look elsewhere for opportunity.
I know we havnt got any, purely hypothetical.

i like how they make it look like we’ve got more than one nominee

I don’t understand your point. Team plays like crp, doesn’t have players named in All Aus squad isn’t really a shock. Nor is it a comment on the “talent” that hasn’t been harnessed by the gameplan and coaching.

Of course it’s never completely one thing over everything else, these things are always multifaceted. But despite being happy to acknowledge that, I’m equally strident in the belief that we absolutely lack talent and lack players with sufficient skills. If you reckon it’s not a problem then you’re certainly welcome to that viewpoint.

I think we lack depth of talent for sure, but we also have no idea about how to harness that talent we have (see D’Ambrosio)

Essendon wanted Massimo on the list but Dodoro, not Scott, was handling negotiations and true to form, the lowball offer was rejected with Hawthorn showing interest. Think Dodoro scrambled with a revised offer, but Massimo had made up his mind (another nail in Dodoro’s coffin). Best career move he could’ve made. Good luck to him.

Yeah and up until that point he was made to feel so much a part of Brad Scott’s future plans by way of the faith shown in him

Compare and contrast Mitchell’s belief in him to Brad Scott’s as well as his ability to play him in the correct role to maximise his assets.

I’m always happy to sink the boots into Dodoro but this was as much a Brad Scott issue as a Dodoro issue. In fact I’d go so far as to say it was more a Brad Scott issue.

Oh goody, this discussion again.

This was 100% Brad Scott.

It started last year by not playing Massimo and when he did, it was in in positions he wasn’t suited to. Hobbs going down the same path.

Rising Star Award:

1st: Ollie Dempsey
2nd: George Wardlaw
3rd: Kai Lohmann

AFL Coaches Association Winner: Nick Daicos

AFL Players Association Winner: Marcus Bontempelli

I spotted Kaine Baldwin on one of the tables…or someone who really looks like him!!

Probably a 2025 preview. Was he at the Hawthorn table?

AA TEAM

Defenders: Blakey, Weitering, Luke Ryan, Zorko, J McGovern, Houston.

No where near it! lol…tucked away on one of the back tables.

Five dockers is remarkable for a team which missed the 8

I hope Bont wins the brownlow

That backline would leak 20 goals. A decent small forward would kick 10.
