Who knows. It’s just seems according to here everyone who’s on the market has either sold there house, has emotional ties to the club or has a bloke they played jrs with who they are bffl with means they’re more likely to get here. Even though they have probably gotten over us a long time ago.

I think he is certainty to stay. But he would certainly make our side interesting.
You could almost lock him and Zaka on the wings with 90% game time and heavily rotate the HFs and inside/faster mids.
Who would you lockdown on Gaff (good luck trying) Zerrett or Hepp? And when they are off you have to contend with Smith, Stringer, Langford, Parish and McGrath.
On the other hand I really like that we are building from within. With Guelfi taking the other wing do we bother going for Gaff and eating up cap space?
Goddard was 100% going to Freo cos he got some golf membership over there.

Long term I see Guelfi becoming an inside role player like how myers plays. In the intermediate, I see him playing as a team focussed utility plugging holes, forward midfield and down back.
I would give gaff every last cent. So hard to find elite AA talent. Would give us a really threatening edge.

As I said previously, until there is huge media speculation and stories popping up all over the place… he’s a long way from negotiating a new contract with West Coast.
No client under Connors signs a new contract without a media battle, until there is ‘leaked’ information of North Melbourne offering 1.5 million a year… a contract with West Coast is still a longway away.

Yeah it’s a good point.
And it’s not like clubs in the negotiation process are showing their full hand so far out from trade period anyway.
Perhaps North and St Kilda perhaps are given they need to dangle massive overs but we wouldn’t be.
So where was Gaffs influence in play last week without Shuey? Not much as North won.
He can stay there in WA.

Speak for yourself, I have never excelled in nothing.
Considering they lost 4 of their best 22 in Nic Nat, Shuey, Jetta and Kennedy and were playing in Tassie where North were 96% strength and generally play well. It’s not the best example to be pot shotting his performance. Their key depth is ■■■■■ at best in the tall department and he had one average game.
Considering his durability and growth each season I would still be happy to pay the big bucks.
