Solly is not “the option” except on a temporary basis until the end of the season. I’d expect him to put the boot into the senior players and select a team with a modicum of courage and aggression. It doesn’t matter if they lose, as long as they show toughness and deck an opposition arse hole from time to time, when it’s warranted. An example from the Brisbane match would be the player who gave Caddy a blood nose in the first quarter. No one got stuck into him for it which was disgusting.
Who among our senior players has a touch of aggression ? Not one. The closest to it would be Durham and Redman. There are a few among the newer players who would fly the flag - such as Johnson and El-Hawli - but still not enough of them.
