From the outside his delisting looks to be a completely baffling decision by Gold Coast. It’s almost like they don’t want to win a game ever again.

Yep AFL’s own club just gives up a really decent possession gatherer, who ends up going to Brisbane, another AFL project on the recovery train, for absolutely nothing, … and is exactly what they need.

I don’t think this is true. I think the only bit that sits outside the cap is the regular rookie payments, which will then be covered by whoever replaces him on the rookie list. Anything above the rookie standard is picked up by the main salary cap (is my understanding).

If that’s what’s happenning, I’m happy to put my hand up at a half-decent salary (AFL senior best 22 standards ). My agility and endurance will be right up there with the backstop in Major League! My knees may even be better!
