Annual rinsing v Geelong Match Review 2025 (1/2)

I am.

The original point was you can’t have Parish and Tsatas in the same side.

Perhaps you replace Parish but we know that’s not happening.

I have no confidence against dogs or cats, they’re guaranteed wins against us

We’re better off importing produce considering our farm seems to be an old Indian burial ground.

Agree. Nor what we need.

We need skilled players.

15 years of poor recruitment has stuffed us up completely. Scott’s selection policy pre injuries was poor, and he’s not overly convincing as a coach to me. Problem is he really doesn’t have a lot of quality to work with.

Agreed, and it is hard to know how much is the list and how much is Scott. He gets to hide behind the rebuild and the injuries so by the time we find out he really does suck, it will be too late and we will be in for another ten years of ■■■■

This game was always a 100 point loss.

If you played it over 3 times it would be the same with any other coach at the helm.

Scott doesn’t have the cattle at his disposal.

Yes but can make statements with players who were out of form the last 2 years

Look at Perkins form instead
Of saying go back to the 2s he makes him sub … what is the actual benefit of that

NOTHING

Weideman
Perkins
Kelly

Gifted games

I’m sure others will add to the list

Tonight is the first time I have turned off a game at 3qtr time.

Perkins broke me early. Comes on as sub and turns it over immediately. The perceived pressure lives in our players heads.

It was always coming.

We have them again on August 8th away. Pop it in the calendar

Did it result into a Geelong goal?

I’m done with him is soft, cant keep his feet and goes missing too much. 92 games he should be hitting his prime and being a regular contributor every week

I know I made light of it in the match thread, but it speaks volumes that Brad activated the sub halfway through the third quarter tonight.

ADW off, Perkins on.

Normally makes it about 5 mins on to the last.

That would have been a good thing. We showed something up to 3/4 time

The problem as I see it, there’s no visible intent to plan around the short comings at present.

so many kids, undersized down back, kids as forwards. you can’t just plonk them out there, esp against the best sides and just let them go.

There’s no visible plan to move the ball forward.
there’s no visible plan to move the ball forward while protecting the likelyhood of a turnover.
the senior players are making poor mistakes and decisions.
the better ball users are trying to pinpoint passes to 1 on 5
there’s no increased focus on defence.

If there was a visible plan you could cop it, you could say hey they are trying to move the ball, in this fashion, but they simply can’t.

There’s just nothing, they are just sent out there, trying to implement what exactly ?

the team set up is still just as bad. we have no small forward defensive pressure to keep the ball in. we have ball chasers in the midfield who don’t defend, and defenders despite a bunch of kids are encouraged to focus on attack first.

this is the same ■■■■ that a full list would have produced, just a slightly bigger score to make it look less worse.

Day Wicks been exposed to soon. He is going to be traumatised in the foetal position for the next month.

Rosa should forget about Harley, forget about drafting kids and use our 1st round picks on 1: Goal kicking forward. 2: Big bodied mid.
Wright, Parish, Gresham, Perkins and Redman can all be used as tradebait.

But they said when Hawkins left things would be better

Yeah that we can’t kick, can’t handball, can’t mark and our gamestyle sucks.

I think they did try to move the ball forward quickly just Geelong suffocated us every time and forced us to dump kick it

What’s most disappointing for me, is Geelong hardly brought red hot pressure yet the way we butchered the ball?
