I wasnāt sure if Zac was the best choice as captain when he was appointed but geez he has got to be the best captain in the AFL the way he leads and carrys the team on his shoulders.

Anyone faulting this clubās endeavour and improvement after watching that game needs their head read.

fair assessment
I win would have been deserved, but we couldāve just as easily lost it
thereāll be lots (good and bad) to take out of this match, like the previous matches and build on that to become better
itās the same shtick from me each week, but I think thatās the reality of what this season is probably going to be about
and if we do make it to finals this year then the wins and losses will hopefully be the difference this time to notching us a win (or two or more)

First game Iāve watched this season.
I nearly farted out a lung when Elliot nearly took that mark in the end. Langers missed but it balanced out with that Elliot moment.
Percentage out of the equation, entrenched in the 8 for the round with some bottom rung teams to play. Iām surprisingly happy considering it could have been yet another Anzac day heartbreak.
Sounds odd but those games will be the test for us, are we going to scrape by or start making statements.

Magnificent contest.
Missed a few chances but so did they.
The biggest positive is that we may now have a midfield that is tough as nails and just keeps competing. No one can be unhappy with the commitment to the game today. Thatās a finals atmosphere and pressure and collectively we stood up.
Some lessons to learn. Some players to replace from the 22 going forward. Dealt with changes in momentum. A bench level set that they must demand of each other now.

Iām really impressed at how we dragged ourselves back into the game and didnāt let Collingwood to run away with an easy win.
This team has got lots of spirit and fight now. So many games we have just hung in there and kept going all the way to the end.

This team is exhausting, some good efforts and slowed their mid surge in the second half to credit, but still so many just pure dumb things and a few boys who need to lift that would really help
Also Martin forward, FYEAH!
Not upset. Collingwood are back to their best and we took it up to them. Lots of coodabeen moments but Iāll take the 2 points.
