Not sure that means much though because they weren’t exactly doing any meaningful drills

well yes, but significantly worse in every other area. and wouldn’t be able to compete with Grundy.
Whenever we have the ball Tbell just has to bomb forward and make Grundy accountable.
yep. it’s actually a strength of his as a very good contested mark.
Biggest issue will be following up at ground level, that’s where he’ll need to really work hard to keep the pressure on Grundy once the ball hits the deck because that’s where Grundy has been his most influential. Blocks and bumps for our blokes and tackle tackle tackle tackle. Crash bodies.

I think there is a big chance we push Hooker fwd at times.
When Grundy goes to bench and Cox into ruck opportunity to do so, likely when Stewart/JD is pinch hitting for us, so keep two marking targets fwd.
We also might do it if have Pies pinned at our end, Hartley stays on Cox, Hurls to Reid, Goddard picks up Hurls man and Hooker pushes fwd again.
Pies backline is very very undersized, there is literally no one who could go close to him contested marking wise. Nor height for JD and Stewart. It’s a huge advantage we have over them.

Bucketed down in Adelaide this morning but cleared pretty quickly. Hopefully it doesn’t get to Melbourne
We might have use stacker rucks like Stewart, Daniher and Smack if that’s the case and hope for rain because they are quick. Three on one and hope we can wear Grundy down.
We should probably also think about poaching him.

Yeah i wasn’t overly worried about the rain personally. The pies flick it around by hand in close and with a wet footy and big pressure from us you could force turnovers.
As it is, if we bring the pressure at the contest and can break even in the midfield then we’re definitely right in the game.
Yep, just have to give them enough decent looks and it should be a decisive advantage!

Belly will be getting run ragged. When JD in ruck Belly will be on the bench resting up.
No chance Belly going fwd except just in generally play whilst in ruck IMO.
