The way we flick our coaches around from forward to back to midfield is absurd, in many profession other sports, like the NFL, assistant coaches specialise in a particular position and don’t have their professional development placed ahead of the team’s performance, we appear to rotate our coaches every year never letting them settle in.

I would not be surprised if Rutten moved into Harvey’s job, and Kelly is probably the one to go into Skipworths position. But that’s actually not the biggest problem imo.

The big question is who is going to come in and fix our dysfunctional, fragile and “easy to play against” game plan. First we outsourced our game plan from Neeld. Then Harding has taken up the poisoned chalice but imo its going nowhere. The Richmond seconds beat us. The 18th team, Sydney chock full of kids beat us.

We need a head coach who is the actual game plan architect. A coach with vision. When that happens, all the assistant coach dominoes will fall anyway.
