Very underwhelmed.
Buchanon was with McVeigh at Swans. Both assistants. Buchanan well regarded for developing young players. Mzungu is the Freo Academy coach since 2018 and helped developed young talent at Freo. So an obvious theme here

McVeigh does/did Sydney’s defense. Buchanan currently does Sydney’s forward line/ball movement. Lade does the Bulldogs midfield and Mzungu does development at Freo. Not bad. Like that there is a bit of a mix of clubs. Would like someone else from a current finals club too.

FWIW I’ve heard very good things about Mzungu as a coach.
Would have had some overlap with Rosa at Peel Thunder if im not mistaken.

Buchanan, Lade and Mzungu honestly sound’s fantastic to me. Throw Hirdy and Solly in there somewhere im its starting to take shape

The Vozzo thing continues to stink.
He had plenty of opportunity to hire better assistants while he was CEO of the club. Officially he’s not even an employee right now, although we all expect that to change shortly. Why his opinion carries any weight is beyond me.

Given the narrative was that Brad Scott surrounded himself with his ex-North assistants and confidantes can you explain why that was now a Vozzo thing? Knowing the character that Brad Scott is/was do you really think that he wouldn’t have taken the role without being very clear on who he wanted as his assistants? The clearest evidence that they were hand picked by Brad was that 2 of them walked out of the club 2 days after he was sacked!!
