One of them should take legal action, ain’t it ain’t the Garfield one.
Nolan and Villenueve are the two masters of 21st century film making. They are constantly pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling, and are not confined to any one style/genre of film.
I am an unabashed Nolan fanboy, with his Dark Knight trilogy and Interstellar being absolute standouts for me. I also really loved Insomnia with Al Pacino and Robin Williams.
What Villenueve has been able to achieve with the Dune Trilogy is uttlerly momentous. He has taken what was considered to be unfilmable and brought it to life on such an epic scale.
We are truly spoiled to have these two working at the peak of their powers at the same time.

Ridley Scott is no doubt an all time great, whose filmography is as good as anyones. But his last recent offerings have been absolute garbage, barring one or two good films. He’s pushing 90, and clearly doesn’t care anymore about the stuff he cranks out.
He’s on par with Nolan, such an outstanding visual director. The film Prisoners had me transfixed.

Does anyone else think jackman would of made a great Odysseus? Wasn’t sold on Damon.
Jackman can do tormented well (thinking the prestige and prisoners) while also bringing those dad vibes. While also having the RIG.
Jackman does have leading man gravity that I think Damon missed at times

I can certainly see what you see with Jackman. For me it was the best i have ever seen Damon in a movie, so can’t really picture anyone else in the role now
Despite all the regret Odysseus had, I didn’t get alot of anguish from damon other crying while strapped to a sail. I found him fairly bland. I dont think Damon is suited to showing that kind of emotion while still being charismatic/likeable
He cant do tormented without being a sniffling ■■■■/villainous (thinking interstellar and the departed)
Jackman on the other hand.
if rusty crowe hadnt let himself go he would have crushed playing Odysseus.

For anyone who knows the Elizabeth Holmes story or who Nathan Fielder is this should be good. Early reports are its ■■■■■■■ wild. Probably wrong thread though, as its a doco.

I keep ‘returning’ to “The Return” released last year. Once you see Ralph Fiennes in the role you’ll forget Damon’s passable gruff strong man.
