At the movies

10 Cloverfield Rd

Well, it was interesting. I have a fascination with studying weird people. John Goodman plays a very good weird person.
The movie…can’t really say too much, actually. Has some good bits, most bits are not good. Goodman was good.

5.5/10

Took the Family to see zootopia. Got quite a few laughs. Hi points…Sloths and breaking bad references.

All I’ve heard about that movie is “meh…but John Goodman was great!”

If you want to see more insidious financial actions look up the speculative attack that crashed the baht and subsequently caused the asian financial crisis in the late 90s. total predators those financial wankers.

Having lived and worked in Thailand at that time, l can remember clearly that a lot of the Thais blamed external forces, including but not limited to currency specualtor George Soursos, and also Warren Buffet, IIRC. There own reliance on a rampant construction industry over heating their economy with inflation was totally ignored.

Got an email from Warren Buffett the other day. He’s got 50mill waiting for me in an account. I sent him my details now just waiting to hear back.

I mean what could go wrong? It’s Warren Buffett!!

Yeah during one of my classes we watched a doco on him and his role in it. Pretty sickening that they can toy with a whole nation’s people like that.

Which is why soros and buffet targeted them, their economy was run by the inept, it was a large part of our study of pegged currencies.

Saw Batman vs Superman tonight. I thought it was pretty good but had some big flaws at the same time.

Hats off to Affleck though, i didn’t think he could pull it off but he does a very good job. The film picks up whenever he is on screen.

Batman vs. Superman. Affleck and Irons were good. Eisenberg was bad. The story was bad. The ending was particularly bad. Would’ve been better if they stuck to the Dark Knight Returns storyline.

#ComicsAreBetterThanMovies

Haven't seen Batman v Superman yet but the things I keep hearing is: - Ben Affleck is actually pretty good as Batman - Eisenberg horribly miscast and really wierd (basically an OCD version of himself) - First half of the movie is good, second half turns into a mush of fight scenes - Batman straight up kills/murders people and not overly interested in preserving life - Trailer gives away everything
  • extended release bluray edition will fix everything EVERYTHING.
Oh, and Bryan Cranstan turned down for the role of Lex in place of Eisenberg....

Doubt it

Bvs had some big flaws but I still enjoyed it

Ben Affleck as Batman is like trying to sell off butter as jam.

Zootopia was okay.

Zootopia was okay.

Took my 3.5yo to see it. I thought it was pretty good, and he sat through it so it cant have been too bad.

I liked it.

I’m a bit over Cranston tbh

Bone Tomahawk is just a touch brutal. I think Kurt Russell just wandered straight from the set of it across to the Hateful Eight, looks exactly the same in both of them.

And 10 Cloverfield Lane was great, tense, gripping, and a real out of the frying pan into the fire finish. Goodman’s character is an absolute whackjob.
