Watched Sausage Party last night. Very low brow. Very funny.
Midnight Cowboy. Pretty good. Few bits that could have used cutting out. The whole drug trip scene was so fkn boring and classic 60s. Hasn’t aged well.
Stay with the theme & try Midnight Express next.
Will do. Thanks!
And then try Papillon and The Deer Hunter.
So many great movies from that 70’s era.
Do they hold up though? I watched Five Easy Pieces a few months ago and it sucked.
I’d say the deer hunter holds up very well.
Some supreme performances in it, especially the late John Cazale.
John Cazale. Only made 5 films but they are some of the best ones you will ever see and he is great is all of them.
Loved this
I’d say his best role was in Dog Day Afternoon, … also in Pacino’s top 5 performances as well.
If you haven’t yet, give that one a go after M Express Peeto.

Have you ever been in a Turkish prison, Johnny?
Logan was absolutely brilliant. If they were to never feature wolverine in a film again, ths was the perfect way to go out.
Awesome performances, awesome action. Just brilliant
Have you ever been in a Turkish prison, Johnny?
I’ve actually been in that very ‘prison’
6 if you count the old footage from GF3 (also nom for best picture, so his strike rate was pretty damn good!!)
There’s a great doco about him from the late 00’s called ‘I knew it was you’
I agree dog day was his best role, ■■■■■■ good actor

Ouch…was your bum sore afterwards?
Thanks for reminding me to watch the Godfather trilogy again.
Poor Frodo
Most of the prison scenes are filmed in a place called Fort St Elmo
