It’s always a good day when there’s some PJK.
In March 2023, Nine newspapers unleashed an extraordinary series warning of war with China within three years and our unpreparedness for it. On the third anniversary, former prime minister Paul Keating has made some trenchant observations about it.

I am always saddened by the contrast in knowledge, skill and courage that is evident between today’s “leaders” and Keating.
He says more in several paragraphs here than the combined useful output of parliament for two decades.

Israel’s running commentary on Australia should make a strong Australian Government furious.
I give zero f*cks about what Israel’s dictatorship Government says about what Australia should or shouldn’t do on social/international issues.
It would be wise for the Prime Minister to tell them to f*ck off.

Probably more for us to gain in that meeting than Israel.
So ASIO meets with a war criminal and terrorist, and walks free.
I’m sure history will judge that moment well.

They do run one of the more successful intelligence and counterintelligence agencies.
We have had some failings recently I’m sure you’d agree.

More of a political failing I’d suggest as others have.
You really think that ASIO couldn’t learn something useful from Israel intelligence agencies?
Even if it was just failings from Oct 7th?

Our countries do not do “intelligence” the same way. Nor should we.
Failings? Yes. At the most basic level. Would shouldn’t have needed ASIO to stop suburban old mate owning 6 guns.
We have nothing to learn from Israel in terms of methodology. Absolutely nothing.
I’m sure any “advice” received from the ■■■■ who signs bombs dropped on Gaza would have been sensible, impartial, and completely compatible with Australian values.
He can keep his radical ideology out of our country. So can the radical islamists. So can the radical far right Neo ■■■■■.

On those numbers it’s looking pretty good for the Teal independent.
Milthorpe would win 60-40. Are they actually a teal candidate?
