Labor held outer suburban seats are a chance for ON. Plus regional but main game for them is getting BOP in the senate. Imagine a Labor government and a senate controlled by ON. It’d be a daily circus.
In a situation where ON has a reasonable number of senate seats it means labour would need to deal with Liberals, Greens or ON. ON wouldn’t have a balance of power as it’s traditionally known, as there would be many different permutations of getting things passed.

It is voting intention as of now, no policy no costing whatsoever, so it is based on a sample of who knows what and who, I am guessing it is a protest at the state of current politics, and the insane media frenzy on how bad everything is. We keep gettting hammered by the media and facebook about how bad things are and how it’s all just strangely happened in the last 18 months.

Most of this surge has come directly from a poor to non functional LNP, sure some is dissafected labor, but the vast majority is one side of the right leaking to the other.
It makes no sense from where they were a year ago and isnt sustainable, and a lot of this is indonesian bot farm facebook driven IMO. The media is getting so much delight from this they are pretty much encouraging it. I reckon in time they will lock in and start to make them accountable, for now they are enjoying this and dont really want it to end yet

I know we’re on a bit of a loop about this, but while affordability and the drop in real income is a genuine issue and has certainly contributed to the loss of voter share among the traditional major parties, it doesn’t explain the rise of One Nation specifically, vs all the other alternative options out there.. One Nation has in fact consistently opposed most cost of living measures.
