Australian Policies -- from October 2024

and the liberals bragged about how.tgey were the ones that brought in NDIS . so.whqt are they saying now? too many people working on there? is this an area they’ll cut to fund their nuclear fantasy?
I’d say so . they’ll cut this and many other things to pay for that. they already have a special dedicated person designated to cut indigenous spending . but wait it’s all good, she’s one of them, So its all cool

did they ? Dont recall that ever happening.

But if you’re attacking cost of living as an issue…surely you have to have…A policy?
On something?

We’ll make cost of living better by…being less woke?

I think the bill passed in their time . I stand corrected

The bill to establish the NDIS was introduced into Federal Parliament in November 2012 by then Prime Minister Julia Gillard , and the Act was then passed in March 2013 when Rudd was PM

I think the liberals claimed it when it actaually started. .

If Dutton cared about indigenous Australians, as much as he cares about Jews…… we’d have a voice to Parliament.

There is a racist agenda.

I don’t think he cares about Jews. I think he likes bashing moslems and lefties, and he just uses antisemitism as an excuse.

Remember a few years back, when he had that big grinning photo op with a cop mate of his, who turned out to be the sort of person who mows a swastika into their back lawn? Yeah, that’s REALLY someone with a deep concern about the prevalence of anti-Jewish sentiment society…

Surely you have heard of Dutton’s plan to have a Department of Government Efficiency. When Jacinta is finished her review there will be money galore to splash around and make people’s lives better and less woke.

Sounds awful…

DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) was developed as a concept to address historical and ongoing systemic discrimination by actively promoting equal opportunities and representation for individuals from diverse backgrounds, primarily stemming from the Civil Rights Movement in the United States, which led to legislation like the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibiting discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin; essentially, it was created to create a more equitable and inclusive environment in workplaces and society at large by going beyond just non-discrimination to actively foster diversity and inclusion across different identity groups.

Key points about the origins of DEI:

Civil Rights Movement:

The foundation of DEI lies in the fight against racial segregation and discrimination during the mid-20th century, leading to landmark legislation like the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Affirmative Action:

Following the Civil Rights Act, “affirmative action” policies were implemented to proactively address underrepresentation of certain groups, initially focusing on race.
Expanding Focus:

Over time, the concept of DEI broadened to include gender equality with the rise of the feminist movement, and further expanded to encompass other aspects of identity like ethnicity, religion, and LGBTQ+ status.

Evolution of the Term:

While the practices of promoting diversity and inclusion existed before the term “DEI” became widely used, it gained prominence in recent years as organizations actively sought to address systemic inequalities and create more inclusive workplaces.

I don’t really know what the bottom 2/3’s are about, that’s your business, but be very careful what you ask for with so called ‘meritocracy’. You can do the research on why what you’ve been sold on DEI and even ‘woke’ definitions are just powerful figures taking you for a sap. But if real meritocracy was possible there’d be a SHITTTLOAD more women, ethnic minorities and people who don’t play the good old boys game in very good jobs currently occupied by deadshitts with connections and the right chromosomal make up.

And here’s a clue, any process that eliminates bias based on colour, sex, sexual preference, degree of attractiveness etc, is ensuring talent and capability win out.

Getting mad about private companies ‘virtue signalling’ has always seemed like such a dumb thing. Who cares
