Australian Policies -- from October 2024

Although it is a good time to get in at the basement with us.

Yes. Yes it is. But you must have worked out that ā€œgood policiesā€ are the first things overboard when the Libs get elected, with the excuse they are Non-Core PromisesĀ®.

Most Commonwealth Public Servants are based outside the Canberra swamp.
The ACT accounts for 36.9% of CPS.
12.3% are based in the regions.
The Nats won’t like cuts in their electorates.

Cutting ā€œpublic serviceā€ and immigration always plays well with the broader electorate. Gives people a couple of ā€œoutsiderā€ ( there’s always been a mocking attitude to public servants because people are too stupid to look at the thing in any depth ) groups they can drop all their general dissatisfaction onto.

We certainly don’t need that.

We can drop our dissatisfaction on FCFC.

Wont name where the 41,000 people will come from either. Cowards.

The Secretary of Transport Innovation and Infrastructure, together with some other staff , would be in Bridget McKenzie’s sights after her stoushes with them at Senate Committee hearings.
The Secretary had said that the CFMEU wasn’t a problem in the projects endorsed by the portfolio. The Department had also failed to respond to her requests for some innovation projects.
( The Secretary, Jim Betts, is a colourful character).

Hang on, I think I might be a public servant. Better vote Labor just in case I’m in the firing line.

Let’s sack 41,000 public servants. That’ll bring our salary account back into the black and will weaken the public service unions. Problem solved.

We’ll farm out their work to private companies. They have to maximise their profits, so they’ll charge the maximum, but that doesn’t matter because:

  1. It’s coming out of a special contingency account which is kept separate from regular public service accounts;
  2. The companies appointed will be all contributors to LNP general funds;
  3. We or our friends and relatives will have shares in these companies.

Guaranteed the NDIS workforce will be in the cuts.

A fair amount of the CPS working life has been under the Coalition and implementing so many of their crap policies.

2 cops and other staff and between them they could disarm a 95yo in a walking frame.
Who called the cops in the first place?
