He does have a bit of a point though. The quota system whilst apparently good for the game does mean there are some decent sides who will miss. I mean giving Oceania an automatic qualifying spot is just madness, NZ would not qualify out of any other conference in the world and let’s be real, whilst Italy aren’t the powerhouse they once were they would still comfortably account for for most sides in Asia and North America.
As I said, I get why they are doing it but you aren’t getting the top 48 sides in the world at the event so of course some quality teams will miss.

Hmmm… Methinks not. 
You can’t have 2 CONCACAF teams in 1 group, let alone 3. I believe UEFA is the only federation that can double up, due to their number of qualified teams.

Canada
Australia
Scotland
Cabo Verde

Based on what form line? Euros last year they won 1-1-2.
Qualifying for WC they flogged 2 of the minnows in their group, got a bit of a scare vs Israel but ultimately got up, and were touched up by Norway.
Euro WC & qualifying process clearly gives far too many rankings points for mid tier Euro teams, if they’re 12th. They’ve beaten Albania and Moldova.
2022-23 they were solid but that’s a fair while ago now.
How are Norway 29th. Seems way too low for how they’re going over th last 18 months - 2 years
They would comfortably qualify out of Asia and North America.
I hate to admit it but they would beat Australia 7 out of 10 times with probably 2 draws.
I’ve always said that have the first round of qualifying and the winners all get direct entry and then throw everyone else who qualifies for the second stage into a pot and mix it up with all confederations.

Just feels like a lot of fluff putting Italy at 12th on recent form. Belgium have also been pretty ordinary but they’re top 10.
Both were good sides 2-3 years ago.
Oh, Italy aren’t top 20 that’s for sure.
Still not a minnow though and the WC would be much poorer for their absence IMO but if they ain’t good enough so be it.
FIFA introduced this system to try and stop WC’s being all European or South American affairs but I do think they have gone a little too far

Should be able to get out of the group stage I think with either of the 2 scenarios he put up.
Not too worried about the host nations, though you would expect refereeing to favour them.
Yeah, Canada and the US are dross. Mexico can be good on their day though and I’d hate to get them at home
