Its their season average , but they must have played the previous week.

@saladin is correct. We used to do it differently but settled on this as an easy and simple way to calculate and follow.

Only took you until the 4th bye week to realise!

To be fair it is the first Essendon bye

So its the only real bye!

Introduced myself to my wife and kids this week and said I can spent the whole weekend with you because the Bombers aren’t playing. My 4 year old replied what about the ‘yucky’ Magpies! Winning

Horrible night for the Bulls with the Selwoods stinking it up. Scott has done his hammy and Joel on 29 at 3/4 time. Not a great start to the week.

■■■ Honeychurch finally gets a game, my faith is rewarded :stuck_out_tongue:

Trade period is now closed

what the heck, O M G is filtered? Seriously? lol

So yeah, I signed Liam Jones as a FA, come at me haters.

Which one of you bid and cost me my priority?

Pretty happy with my trade haul.

Out: jobe, harbrow, mummy, 3rd and 4th round pick

In: Dunkley, 1st round pick, 3 x 2nd round picks.

Also signed Jones and Draper as FAs during the trade period to keep the list at 30

Couldn’t get a deal done for stants. No interest at all in Gibson, Taylor or Begley who were all floated.

Knocked back some pretty serious offers for Tuohy, one from Melk was particularly tempting but ultimately at 27 Tuohy may yet be part of my list build if I draft really well.

Next trade period will probably be quite quiet relative to the last two but will still be trying to improve my draft position.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my first 3 or 4 months in the league and have lost all interest in the official comps

If you put in a RFA bit and no one else did, you’d still lose your position in order.

That’s where you can strategy comes into play.

If you think you might be onto a smokey, you can wait till Friday 12:05am when they’re changed to be Free Agents, to pick them up without affecting your position.

Eg. Bargey wanted Dougal, but assumed he wasn’t on anyone elses radar. So he chose to not put a RFA bid with the risk of missing out if some did, but no one did, so was able to pick him up for free.

I hadn’t appreciated that. So did anyone big on him?

Not I. Didn’t bid on any of the players (Crocker, Jones, Howlett or Boekhurst)

I would have tried to pick up Boekhurst if he wasn’t picked up as a RFA though.

I dont check until the train ride into work at around 8:00 on Friday, so some of the night owls like Barge/Melk seem to snaffle some of the players straight after RFA’s are processed at midnight.

Fair to the Bulls are giving it a crack this season. Definitely chased experience to give my squad depth for the remainder of the season. My end wash up trade week was:

Out - 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks, Josh Dunkley and Jake Barrett
In - Jarrod Harbrow, Brendan Goddard, Andrew Mackie, Ivan’s 4th rounder and Eggs’ 9th rounder.

Basically gotten in 2 really high scorers in their positions and one good scoring back in return for 2 young mid/forwards and my first 3 draft picks. Going by season averages I have added about another 60 points to my best 18.

So in summary I’m

Round 11 Review

A couple of weeks ago - but better late than never.

51 Bewick scored a new season low of 1100. This was his lowest score since scoring 990 in Round 19 2015. Overall the score of 1100 was the team’s 13th lowest BBFFL#2 score, with the lowest ever score remaining at 845 in Round 2 2013.

Bargey set a new PB for 2017. His score of 1736 outdid his previous season high of 1700 scored in Round 8. The 1736 is Bargey’s 3rd highest ever score, behind only the 1741 scored in Round 11 2016 and his record score of 1780 scored in 2015 Grand Final. Overall this was the 4th highest BBFFL#2 score, with Smooth the only coach with a higher score, the all time record score of 1816 from Round 16 2015.

Birch19 was unable to put his wins for the year into the positive. The loss left his 5-6 from 11 rounds, while a win would have also squared his overall ledger at 54 wins and losses. However the loss left him 53 wins and 55 losses from 108 BBFFL#2 matches.

Cafegerat sunk to a new season low in Round 11. His score of 1053 was lower than the previous low of 1098 scored in Round 7. Overall this was Cafegerat’s 7th lowest score. It was his lowest score since scoring 1050 in Round 13 2016. His lowest ever BBFFL#2 score remains 900 scored in Round 7 2015.

Come Back Hirdy had his 3rd highest score for 2017 in Round 11. His score of 1487 is only behind 1625 scored in Round 3 and his highest ever BBFFL#2 score of 1684 scored in Round 9. Overall the 1487 was Come Back Hirdy’s 4th highest score, with only his 3rd rank score (1523 in Round 2015) not coming this season.

Don to Death was unable to make it 5 wins in a row. His loss to The Melkman by 14 points was his scond lowest losing margin as a BBFFL#2. Of his 48 losses, the only one with a closer losing margin was his 10-point loss to TrevorBix in Round15 2014.

Eggs had his second lowest score for the season thus far in Round 11. His score of 1367 was only higher than the 1312 he scored in Round 7. Overall this score was 54th lowest (and also his 54th highest) from 108 matches as a BBFFL#2 coach.

Ivan’s score of 1309 in Round 11 was his 3rd best BBFFL#2 score to date. His only higher scores of 1480 and 1318 came in Round 4 and 6 respectively.

No. 5 went down to Smooth, making it 3 straight losses for the first time in 2017. The last time he suffered 3 straight defeats was from Rounds 12 to 14 2016. No. 5’s longest losing streak of 5 was from Round 13 to 17 in 2012, the first BBFFL#2 season.

Redbull might it 3 straight wins with a big win over TrevorBix. His score of 1713 was also his 2nd highest BBFFL#2 score, behind only the 1726 he scored in Round 3 earlier this season. Overall this score ranks as the 10th highest BBFFL#2 score and 4th highest for 2017.

Saladin was unable to make it 4 wins on the trot, leaving 3 as his longest winning streak since 2014. After failing to win back to back games in 2015 and 2016, Saladin won back to back in Rounds 5 and 6 before winning the 3 straight from Round 8 to 10.

Silly Billy backed up his win in Round 10 with another in Round 11, making it the first time since Rounds 16 and 17 2016 that he had won consecutive matches. His score of 1385 was his 3rd best for 2017 only behind the 1399 scored in round 10 and his season high of 1543 scored in Round 9. Overall the 1385 was his 10th highest BBFFL#2 score, with his record score of 1561 coming back in Round 3 2013.

Smooth made it 4 straight wins in knocking over No. 5. This win means Smooth is 10-1 after 11 rounds, just as he was last year.

Stoops returned to the winners list in Round 11. His win took his season record to 4 wins and 7 losses. This is his worst win loss record as a BBFFL#2 coach after 11 rounds and the first time he has gone through at less than 50%. Previously he has gone 9-2 in 2012 and 2013, 7-4 in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

The Melkman scored a PB for 2017 in Round 11. Overall his score of 1402 was his 68th score. It was his highest score since his losing 2015 Preliminary Final score of 1451. After scoring at 1400 or above in 67 of his first 87 matches (77%) as BBFFL#2 coach in the first 4 seasons, The Melkman has only achieved this feat twice in 30 matches (6.7%) over the last 2 seasons.

TrevorBix lost in Round 11 to give him 6 wins and 5 losses. This equals his win loss record at the same time last season and in 2015. Prior to this he has gone 1-10 in 2012, 2-9 in 2013 and 4-7 in 2014, meaning he has improved or equalled his winning record after 11 rounds in every BBFFL#2 season so far.

Wezza scored 1505 in Round 11 which was his 3rd highest score for the season and his 16th highest overall score. His only higher scores this season have been 1601 in Round 3 (3rd highest overall) and his record score of 1679 in Round 7.

Westozziebomber suffered yet another loss to see his record for 2017 slip to 1 win and 10 losses. This now means he has equalled his record for most losses in a season. He previously also lost 10 matches in 2014 which is the only completed BBFFL#2 season he has not featured in the finals.

Can we just skip the review of me this year. Lol

Not sure you want to see the Round 12 one!

I don’t, lol

It’s been a hard fall from grace, but I had a damn good run for 5? Years. I didn’t manage well enough over the off season with my retirees, which left me short through the midfield. My defence was still scoring rock solid and my forward line was still okay but playing short every week killed me. If I had a extra two midfielders, I’d be looking at around top 4 again. So the time is right to look at other ways to get back up at the top.
