BBFFL#2 2017 Discussion

This season can eat a bag of dicks.

With this week’s win the Bulls are officially a BBFFL#2 finalist for the first time in season number 6. Not sure if I should be proud proud of this achievement given I’m the last original coach to make the finals.

You should be. You’ve built a powerful team that will be in finals for years.

This season is pretty much a write off for me. A combination of a busy trade period and draft (as in, busy not drafting or trading) and a heap of players going backwards has sent me plummeting. I will need to turn it around next year in a big way.

Definitely a direct correlation with the numbers of Seedsman Times produced this year. Would like to see you chart that!

Think I might do an entire clean out at the end of this season.

I’m happy with that score

I believe that’s my worst score ever. I’ve dropped to 5th and falling. Race against the clock to get players back and make finals. Doesn’t look likely.

@redbull surely this is the highest amount if Wins in Pallet Town’s recent history

You won 6 matches last year. Your score this week was your 3rd highest.

I am off work for a few days later this week so I am planning on getting things done re round reviews and potentially Hall of Fame.

Bit of a disaster weekend for me.

Broadbent, Spurr and Wood late withdrawals, Cripps off at half time with possible fibula fracture, Greenwoods possible suspension and hardly touched it after the incident and Smith and Cameron scoring in the 30’s.

1408 decent score all things considered but might be in trouble in the coming weeks.

To be fair you’re done well only losing Greenwood for a week.

Maybe but i reckon he’s a bit stiff tbh.

He hit his shoulder first then it slid up to the jaw but i guess these days they are pretty hot on that stuff now.

I completely disagree. It was off the ball contact. It doesn’t matter that he intended to hit Zach in the arm/shoulder, his duty of care is to avoid hitting him high which he didn’t do.

Yeah that is true. I think the off the ball part was the main factor.

Each week I add my score to a table, and a graph. See injuries hit in the last five weeks below.

I can field a decent line-up out of my non-selections;

B:Salem, Wellingham
C: JP Kennedy, Aaron Hall, Ed Curnow, Daniel Wells, Miles, Barrett
F: JJ Kennedy, Rioli, Turner

Surrounding those guys with filler would probably have gotten me a better score than what I actually fielded this week.

Finally back on the winners list but with a tough run home, the damage is most likely done. Things havent quite fallen my way at crucial moments and a couple of kids havent come through which has impacted on depth. Still, i may end up with a Points-For tally good enough to be just inside the 8, but without enough wins. Glass half full would be my viewpoint if so.

Raised elbow, think he’s damn lucky he hit the shoulder first.
