Conargo Bulls Press Release
It is with cutthroat and heartlessness that the Conargo Bulls announce the departure of their Premiership captain Joel “Duck” Selwood. After coming to the club via a midseason trade in 2013 in return for Dane “Dive” Swan, Duck established himself as a key player in the side. Initial wins were few and far between, with the Bulls winning the 2013 BBFFL#2 wooden spoon and only 3 matches in both 2013 and 2014. Prior to the 2014 season Duck inherited the Bull’s captaincy from Scott “The Good One” Thompson. A neck related free kick chasing injury cost Duck a spot in the 2017 grand final team, but he bounced back in 2018 to see his loyalty rewarded with the ultimate BBFFL#2 glory of a premiership.
All up Duck managed 113 matches for the Bulls, including 4 finals. His highest finish in the best and fairest was 2nd in 2016, he also finished 3rd in 2014. Overall he 5 top 10 best and fairest finishes.
Also departing the Bulls during the midseason trade period were Matthew “Crock” Kreuzer, Kade “Lisa” Simpson, Bryce “Pea” Gibbs, Zach “Yank” Tuohy and Jarryd “Tiger” Lyons. A summary of their careers with the Bulls is:
Kreuzer – 36 games including 3 finals, 2nd in the 2017 best and fairest
Simpson – 2018 Premiership player, 31 games including 3 finals, 2nd in the 2018 best and fairest
Gibbs – 2018 Premiership player, 51 games including 6 finals with a highest finish of 4th in 2017 best and fairest
Tuohy – 2018 Premiership player, 16 games including 3 finals
Lyons – 2018 Premiership player, 50 games including 3 finals, 10th in 2017 best and fairest
The average age of the deparitng players was 30.2 years and so it is with great pleasure that the Bulls welcome the following players:

Bailey “Liqueur” Scott
Callan “Easty” Ward
Darcy “Shags” Cameron
Jay “Keys” Lockhart
The trade period also saw a number of picks exchanged, the Bulls gave up their 3rd, 4th and 7th round picks. However coming back the other way were:

-Wezza’s 2nd rounder
-Saladin’s 5th rounder
-Ivan’s 7th rounder
We now wish these teams the very best in finishing as low as possible on the ladder in 2019.

Gonna be tough going with more injury issues for Stringer and Raz.
I’ll need Rioli and Bolton to really step up or I’m chasing a pipe dream now.
So after acquiring Brad Scheer from GC on waivers, I’m now back to one club away from completing UF bingo. That is, having one or more players from every one of the 18 clubs on your list.
Just pointing out that I feel some level of achievement in not picking up some random **** Carlton player to complete the set. It also helps that the last team is **** Carlton.
