You probably know the story behind Weasels, but anyway…

What’s that Disintegration? The colours and design are different.

Artwork by Ozzie artist Martin Sharp, who was sharing a house with Clapton at the time the album was recorded. Sharp also co-wrote Tales of Brave Ulysses on Disraeli Gears.

Picture disc from Collectors Corner. Robert is actually peering off the disc through the blue foliage of the sleeve.

The golden part of the stylus mount is actually inverted and thus you have a Coke spoon. Hey, it was the 70s. I have a massive promo poster of this and it looks awesome!

You can Tune a Piano but you can’t Tuna fish.

Bizarre cover photo combined with an appalling pun. What’s not to love?

This was a pretty standard style cover art and flyer art around the time for what bands like TAD in the late 80’s and early 90’s were exposing, the dystopian, reflection of the trashy Americana theme. What’s interesting about this cover was that it was from a late 70’s photo image discovered by one of the Sub Pop guys in a thrift store, band and label later thought it’d make a good cover. After it was released, a friend of the groped woman in the bandana style bikini spotted the record and then mentioned it to her. She’d become born again Christian ashamed of her past and threatened to sue the band unless they discontinued it and ceased pressing. They complied and were left with a bit of a rushed job.

A similar (as in last minute change of album cover) was the driver for the cover of TISM’s “Censored Due To Legal Advice” EP.

We got the modified image of Sinead O’Connor tearing up a photo of the pope, instead of this:

As a result of a threat to sue by a then prominent Australian “artist”.

Original title was “Australia the Lucky …” - I will leave the last word of the title out.
