Best Ex-Essendon 22 - From 90s to now

Activity for the off-season.

What is your best team of ex-Essendon players?

I mean players who left us to play for another team*

My heart bleeds as I type…

Hardwick Carlise Solomon
Hibberd Richards Saad

Blumfield Wanganeen Houli

Caracella J.Daniher Fantasia
Kickett Salmon Cummings

Ryder Heffernan Melksham

B: Crameri Monfries Lovett Colyer

E: Barnes Jacobs Cockatoo-Collins Manton

What a forward line and defence that is…

I think he means players that started at Don’s and then went to another club…

Kepler Bradley, Sam Lonergan and Tom Hislop all stiff omissions too.

McPhee correctly not considered though, he can still finish his rep and fark off.

Lovett never played for St Kilda do he can’t really make the list can he.

That’s all well and good but it’s criminal that you didn’t mention the great Tristan Cartledge.

I don’t think I’d be able to publicly contain myself if that was our forward line.

But, the joy I experienced imagining that forward line, was quickly crushed by the cold harsh reality that they all left. All of them :frowning:

Salmon is there at full forward…

Very sad indeed…particularly looking at our current state of forward line.

Looking at the half back flankers who’ve left us…

Wanganeen
Hardwick
Solomon
Hibberd
Saad
Houli

That is nuts.

Interesting… If we’re counting Lovett, would Tim Watson be available for this team on a technicality?

That’s a bit harsh calling them all “half back flankers”… I’m sure a couple were good blokes.
