It’s part of the cycle.
After the US election (regardless of who wins) crypto gets moving.
More often than not there are better returns in the 3 to 4 months after the new year than the 3 or 4 months before.
XRP has popularity. Across time, it rarely out paces BTC longer than 3 weeks, but during this time and the next six months is when the probabilities of it out pacing BTC for longer than 3 weeks are in it’s favour. It did the same thing in November 2020 during the last cycle, before giving it all back. Again in January before giving it all back again. Then finally made its last major move for that cycle.
There are other coins from the last cycle that have gone nuts. ADA and DOGE both had their few weeks of a move and are correcting. Whether they get a continuation is anyone’s guess.
One that isn’t outpacing BTC is ETH. But that usually has its time in the sun after the new year (after a US election), than before it during the cycles.
Would some of these coins be all of a sudden included in a “crypto etf” with big pools of money moving them?
Would be some way to inside trade and make a fortune eh?
Only ETF announcement that have come to fruition is BTC. ETH announced it’s applying for one, but not sure how far down the path it is.
Next will be SOL and maybe an XRP. But these take quite some time to do. But will move price (short term) if there’s an anouncement.
$3.17…
It’s going nuts. I have not really looked into why this is happening, I thought everyone was over XRP. I’m hoping Solana has a run soon.
Xrp has major contracts with banks and visa/Mastercard in place. Just needed to get over their regulatory issues that seemingly don’t exist anymore.
$3.33…
Went to $3.81. Think it’s stabilising now to @ $3.72.
Still holding my bags in XRP, up 370% last 30 days, years of suppression.
Will easily break ATH
Does blitz have a ridiculous crypto fortune story?
Ie anyone buying Lambos?
Lets hear it
Yeah I bought 1,000,000 bitcoin when they first came out and donated them to charity.
Weren’t there only about 21,000 created?
I was talking to a mate I went to uni with about this a few years ago.
He was mining Bitcoin for fun while at highschool and used it to buy a pizza, a pizza he estimated would at the time talking about it would have been worth several 10s of thousands of dollars.
So what is the potential for XRP on this run?
When will people consider selling,
(Obviously best guess and not expecting actual, exact answers)
Nothing more annoying than a smug fact checker!
The reason for its boom is here:
I looked at mining it in the very early days, but never pulled the trigger.
But here’s the thing. Let’s say you’d mined 7000 bitcoins, which would have been worth a few hundred to a few thousand dollars in the early days, and virtually unable to be spent at the time.
Nobody has the nerves of steel it takes to hold those and not cash them in until they reach a billion dollars. Especially while prices rise and crash over the time period. Most people would have finished cashing in once they were worth a few thousand dollars.
So even if your mate owned 7 bitcoin, and knows they’d be worth 1 million dollars now, and is kicking himself. He should forgive himself. There’s no chance he would have realised anywhere near that much profit, unless they got lost on a drive he just recently discovered tucked away somewhere.
You’re missing quite a few zeros there.
I remember the massive cash out at $100, then $1000, then $10,000, hindsight is a beautiful thing, sometimes you have to take calculated risks and set your limits.
