Its hard to be totally across this for 100 minutes, every game, because rotations through the midfield and players time on the bench complicate things greatly but perhaps contrary to what Ben said in this Blitz cast, I dont see Woosha as being a very tactical game day coach right now. I get the impression he gives each player a particular role and he expects that player to play the same role through out the game ( and the player who rotates with him also ). The roles are dovetailed into the game plan which is strategically set for the opposing team of the week in some kind of swot analysis. Ben pointed out a case where Joe moved up the ground half way through the North game. OK, this is a change of role but I think its quite rare. Whereas in the days of Sheeds, he would react to a player being beaten, by switching some other player onto him, I dont see Woosha doing this much at all.
Maybe the reason for this is to try to stabilise the team, so every player operates in a predictable environment, to teach young players the discipline to adhere to structures and roles, and finally because the 4 points dont really matter;. Worsfold is coaching for the future more than for the present.
