So like guys I’ve been thinking … if we were a bit better at kicking and hand passing and tackling and decision making and were mentally tougher and more competitive and better mates with the umpires and had a better list and better coach and really took our chances and won games that we lost … we’d basically have been undefeated.

The Freo game was daylight robbery. Cost Freo finals, and cost us 4 spots on the draft board.
You can pick and choose to make things look better, or pick and choose to make things look worse…
Or you could do neither and just look at the actual results, because that is all that matters.

think you are missing the point, we were withing a couple of brain fades of making the 8, this while we never seemed to gel past the bye, imagine they clean up the brain fades, work at their kicking skills and sort the f50 mess, all doable things and we are not as bad as everyone makes out

So… With some luck, we could have made the 8 and been pumped by Brisbane or the Doggies? This is why many of us couldn’t care less if a couple more results went our way next year. At best, we scrape an Elimination final win with a list where the core of the team is 27+ moving forward.

You’re hedging that we were lucky to win some but you’d probably also say we weren’t unlucky to lose the GC and second Crows games lol so which way do you want it?

no people aren’t missing the point, they are pointing out how obtuse you are being.
North supporters could almost say the exact same things, oh if we just fix pretty much everything about the club, we will be almost perfect 
just stop the brain fades, what a wonderful idea i don’t know why they didn’t think to do that during the season.
work on kicking skills, again wonderful idea pity they didn’t work on it during the season.
Inside fwd 50 entries, masterstroke, again wonder why they didn’t work on fixing it during the season.

Did you … watch us play football that last 8-10 weeks? Did you sit there and watch us give up 8 goal’s straight against the Saints. Players jogging, uncompetitive embarrassment. Did you sit there at the G and watch us get absolutely destroyed by the Dees?

Very, very clearly, I stated that I think we should judged on actual results.
Before that, I did provide a theoretical counter-point to the “if we were better at football, we’d be be better at football” argument.

Altho I don’t think you can turn the majority of this years list into a better version by simply saying cut out the brain fades, practice kicking and clean up fwd 50 entries like it’s a 2 min fix that can be achieved by simply backing in the same core players that did produce all those things, and not for the first time.
dont think i said it could be fixed by saying it, or that it could be fixed in 2 minutes…

Are some people saying were not that far off it because, to make a ■■■■ metaphor cos what else is there to do, youve just turned the f1 on and gone ohh strolls finally having a good race, then not realising hes actually being lapped.
