Yep. Not playing the kids. Up to his old ways!
Iam scared what have they done to the real Brad
Lol. We have lost 17 games in a row and the club is at a loss to understand why members aren’t attending.
Actual coaching nous debate aside, we were clearly keen on playing the kids last year as well - it was just dialled up way more than expected due to injuries.
the content producers only want a 5sec soundbite for the news. what good would asking about tsatas be
Until he drops under performing plodders who put in at 80% and don’t do defensive things on the field, “playing the kids” is irrelevant.
If Parish and Perkins are really dropped, it’ll be the first time that has happened at the club for about 30 years. It’ll genuinely be significant. Defining moment.
However, playing kids instead of Guelfi or an injured Reid is what I expect to happen though.
I am intrigued as to who the outs will be.
I wasn’t aware we had any of these in the team. We have been tracking beutifully.
Makes team selection a nightmare
What was the sentence structure and punctuation like?
Probably far better then mine.
Not sure stats from years ago compared to now really show anything. Years ago I was Jack the lad and shagging any bird on a Friday night. And now if you believe in stats they show I’m getting nothing and am just like an old Labrador in front of the fire.
Maybe being reactive but too late.
Maybe reading the room.
This really is the first year in a while where I’ve come into the year thinking we will be horrible, and we actually end up horrible.
I feel Essendon has had this recent knack of having good (by our standards) seasons when there are little to no expectations (e.g. the 2017 season, the 2021 season, and the start of the 2023 and 2024 seasons) - and having the bad seasons when there is a bit of expectation (2018, 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2025).
This trend has probably contributed to the club refused to rebuild, as we often have outperformed in those year one rebuild years.
Reflecting post another week of head scratching selection, how many failed position changes deep are we so far this year? Gees this guy loves to unsettle players… I guess it gives him the excuses to select the stupidly unbalanced teams he loves
The spray Enhanced football gave Brad Scott was very interesting but true.
I came in thinking the opposition is just that good.
The football Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sydney in particular at full flight is something else.
We are nowhere near it. Despite Tassies entrance it’s probably a good time to be blooding a new team.
I really hope Brad’s right and we have the young talent already.
I picked this up off the internet. Brisbanes team this week.
■■■■ me it’s a good side.
Even compared to Melbourne we are young this week. The real question for me is do we have the talent and the right coach/es to develop them and the right senior players to lead by example.
The Talent who knows at this stage but the senior players I dont think are the right group to set the standards and I dont think Brad is the right coach for building a young group. The assistants who knows I could probably look at half the teams assistants and ask who and why is that guy coaching.
Their interchange would be top 10 players at Essendon. Maybe even top 7
