Brad Scott - The Plan is Fine (Part 3)

Master Your Lane and Conquer the Field

I have to say, this confused the hell out of me. Last year, were we the 7th oldest team, or the 6th youngest team?

A sleeping giant might be finally stirring.

Reckon we’ve heard this every two years since 2009.

Good article however.

When we tank because we have no-one to kick goals, it will cost Brad his job, so that’s a good outcome for us
GWS will be a flag chance so that will make the AFL happy

AFL would be happy if we won a flag as well I reckon - or at least get close - Brad being our coach does have a little to do with the AFL getting him to write a report on why Essendon is so ■■■■ and how to fix it - and then somehow Essendon push to give him the job

Brad would have had 3 or 4 years crossover as a team mate with Troy Selwood at the Lions. Tough day for him on a couple of fronts.

Is that true that they got him to do a report on us ?

Interesting, care to share a little more? first I’ve heard this…

I was at a corporate function and Brad was the speaker - nothing more I know except that and it was something he did in that role. I guess the difference between anyone else doing that and Brad is that he is a former coach so if you have a former coach writing up a plan of what’s wrong and how to fix it and if you are Essendon and you agree then you have the plan in mind when you do your interviews

For some reason your link is unavailable in NZ.

Sorry, beyond my capabilities

Gee he’s been SO unlucky to be a coach during such an even period of the comp.

Thought it was a really good interview, except for Brad saying that you can never go too tall.

Be patient, success takes a very very long time…

Seems to embraced the “going youth” path and creating a culture.

There was a part where he said, if you’re not mobile you need to be able to mark the ball; and that the game could even be shifting away from pure marking targets. I couldn’t help but think this was specifically referring to Peter Wright

as we were discussing the other day, he’s going to struggle to hold onto his spot in the team. Hopefully someone like C******wood come in with a good offer
