Probably Just an off the cuff remark from Brad and we are looking into it too much.

Ha, no Iā€™d say saying in the past Tsatas would have been ridiculed for doing extra work on his game would not be an off the cuff comment. He volunteered it and made no attempt to walk it back.

He knew exactly what he was saying, and that he was on radio.

Gee harsh on a few players. Hurls could have been a 3 time All Australian player if not for having his career messed up.

Yep, seen how quickly people have seized on the comment here, people are desperate and want to find a reason why Essendon have been ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  ā– ā– ā– ā–  for so long.

Fair enoughā€¦.theyā€™re both rubbish!

not sure the saga should be blamed for the majority of those players not reaching their potential imo

guys have come back from having knee recoā€™s and been just as good. The saga imo is a bit of a easy excuse for guys who didnā€™t make the most of their time in the game

Sure, my point is I see Hurls as a 3 time AA type player. Not sure he didnā€™t care and just turned up for a cheque. So I stand by it, I think the comment is a bit harsh.

Plan for first 2 years was get the most out of list ā€œweā€ believe and are told (external review) is good enough. Never said what its good enough for though

The plan now is to get the most out of the list that isnā€™t good enough - thatā€™s why we gave him the extension

Thereā€™s enough evidence to suggest that itā€™s not a throw away comment.

You see it in the work place, where people who put in the extra effort eventually stop doing soā€¦ā€¦ because they donā€™t want to make their team look bad.

Or the rest of the team mock them for going above and beyond

Yeah workplaces can be toxic ā€œyou know they arenā€™t going to pay you any more for your efforts?ā€ Etc I love how tsatas is so driven and the players would see now just how quickly he has improved with that commitment

Yeah ive been to a few jobs in the transport logistics sector where co workers were like ā€œslow down dont need to work too hardā€ etc

Even the CEO was put in his place by the players for demanding too much.

How can i forget he had to applogise lol

What a bunch of soft ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  im just wrapt that stuff is getting stamped out now you dont want live by these new tough standards then see ya the exit door is that way.

That was 5 years of absolute garbage we will never get back.

Hated Worsfold and his player empowerment philosophy just the wrong fit for the playing group

Worsfold is more suited to a team who can coach themselves that have qaulity leaders

Xavier Campbellā€™s method of success:

make finals + get a high profile recruit = good membership numbers

So Scott has named only one small forward on the ground and is persisting with Jones on a wing?

THE PLAN IS FINE.
