Carved out a pretty decent career for a failed journo. Just because his view of the situation doesn’t suit your narrative or maybe you just don’t like him? But that does not mean he isn’t qualified to offer his opinion on what’s he’s seen at the club. He would be far more in the know than most of us on here, and he is just as passionate.
His view of the situation is worth no more than anyone else on here. And the fact that it chops and changes (with the wind) makes it less so. Getting sacked from his main gig and not getting another decent role elsewhere is evidence of his failure as a journalist
I addressed the point of the injuries.
If Norf had a number of injuries so be it, maybe they would be a rabble; but, who cares.
The point I’m addressing is I’m tired of hearing excuses. If you listen to any of the top coaches in any sport they don’t us injuries as an excuse.
My Bellamy point was that he has a structure and on field leadership to ensure next man up has the opportunity to do their job as best as they can.
What on field leaders do we have injured?
Apart from Merrett, Durham & Caldwell, what on field leaders do we have?
Roberts and Clarke are showing more conviction than most of our experienced players.
He told Dodoro to fark off from Essendon when he had a heated chat with him on the phone.
He stood up to that fark Rohan a legend. I take his opinion and view about the club then from people in here.
Except he supported and stuck up for him for years……
what if the next man up is injured as well?
We will have a difficult rebuild given our senior leadership is thin.
Dominos always stop somewhere!
Correct the kids have been great!!
It’s our senior players a farking useless pea hearts and not going with Merrett to help him lead these kids
Who are you talking about?
There’s no some doubt players who aren’t what we need or can’t take us forward…but…’useless pea-hearts’ is perhaps a bit much.
We’re gonna get our players back next year, full season from Ridley, Parish, Redman, Draper, Langford, Wright, Gresham, Guelfi, McGrath and Mckay. We’ll finish top 7 and lose an elim, we’ll speak about the loss burning in the guts over the summer and hit 2027 full of hope.
Then we sell the farm for some recruits because we aren’t far off it and the cycle continues.
Don’t worry I think Carlton will fall for that.
Given our best prospects are Reid, Caddy, maybe Kako. I think we will target players coming through with them.
Not guys coming through with Zac, Parish and older.
When you say “experimenting” do you mean playing Parish?
I can never keep up with blitz one half says the midfield is no good because Draper isn’t playing then the other half say the midfield is preforming great.
I wouldn’t want to be Michael Voss right now.
Although I’m sure his monthly $100k plus pay check helps.
What assurance we have? Most of them haven’t played a full season in my memory.
Agreed…definitely some players that aren’t in our future, but the name calling. Hate it. Key board warrior type stuff
Take out Draper, Wright & maybe Ridley & McGrath and I be delighted if the rest were traded out.
Draper was playing a fair bit of time as a key forward until Bryan went down. He was the reason the forward line had a bit of structure.
Scott’s persistence with running Perkins through the middle and bringing in Parish & Setterfield (I know he has played well) has caused imbalance.
Not to mention the fact that Merrett was “fairly good” in there before he was used elsewhere.
