Brad Scott - yeah, whatever (Part 4)

Let’s be honest. The argument from many posters on both sides of this conversation are lacking in consistency and reason a great deal of the time.

What are another few games going to tell anyone about these three?

Correct you do have to be in it to win it, but that’s my point, neither coach did!

Under Longmire Sydney lost GFs by
2014 by 63pts
2016 by 22pts
2022 by 81pts
2024 by 60pts

An average losing margin of over 9 goals. That’s not bad luck, that’s a fundamental flaw in either game plan or mindset ! Their flag in 2012 was one of the best games I have watched live but that playing list was predominantly left by Roos. And Port ■■■■ the bed any time the word “finals” is mentioned or they need to play outside Adelaide Oval.

Our 7000+ days of no finals is a shocking record but neither Hinkley or Longmire would be overly inspiring appointment IMO and its why we are always mediocre, we think the answer is always an experienced coach. It isn’t necessarily the case anymore, North a perfect example.

Saints are miles in front of us.

Not with RTB coaching

Yet you want to keep these senior players, why?

Im happy to move them on but at the same time we shouldnt be giving them away for nothing

At a minimum i would want at least a second rounder for the guys like Parish and Langford.

I would see if Pies or Brisbane are intrested in Peter Wright

They’re worth about pick 30-35?

Who cares what we get for them, they aren’t helping us now, in fact they’re hurting us.

We’re going to finish 10th next year after winning 11 games, we’ll pretend we’re on the right track, in reality our B and C graders just had a year they didn’t get injured.

Get rid of these guys and lean heavily into the next group.

Both clubs have become a meme and the butt of jokes.

The only people that seem to give a fark are the fans

It does matter what we get. Not saying we have to win every trade but we need some value in return.

Getting nothing picks in the 40-50 range will not help us much.

Both of them for pick 25?

Who would you play instead of them? They’re basically playing everyone. I haven’t seen much from Unwin in the VFL. Mc Mahon is likely the one who certainly deserves a go…

I think second round picks for Langford and Parish is fair. A contending team wouldn’t care if they have to give a second rounder

What an indictment on how the club is managed such that we have a fire sale to offload two All Australian level (if fit / conditioned) players.

We have used 41 players out of 43 baiscly the entire list in one season no team has ever been in this posistion before we are literally scrambling to find players.

Soon we will need to ask the AFL for special permision to elevate rookies

It’s not a fire sale. It’s what they’re worth. They’re miles off being all Aust level - shame Dodoro couldn’t get a gig somewhere else - that would be our best hope of getting a decent return

It’s what they’re currently worth. Not what they should’ve been worth.

There’s a club out there that could possibly get 3-4 years from Langford at 40+ goals per year (like Melksham). In truth, he should be doing that at Essendon. A valuable asset 40 - 50 goal per year forwards.

It will help us to stop playing these players and having them instill panic in our kids, Imagine learning the ropes off McGrath.
