Porridge each morning with equal parts of rolled oats (Red Tractor brand), milk and boiling water. Simmered in pot until oats are obsorbed, served with cinnamon sprinkled on top, banana, berries, Greek yogurt and maybe a prune or two. English breakfast tea, milk added later with bag still in.
No sugar added for either.

I had an ex-girlfriend who used to tell me off for not drinking the milk left in the bowl after cereal. It got to the point where we just had separate milk bottles so if mine was wasted she didn’t care.

Now I look back, it probably should have been a big red flag. Ended about as messy as you can imagine.

Well that does tell us a great deal.

If you put the milk in first, how much do use? I fill my bowl with cereal and pour in milk until I can see it just near top of cereal. Not sure it would work the other way.

You could pour in cereal until the milk reaches an equivalent level, I guess.

But trying to work out Archimedes principle to get an adequate cereal serve in the morning does seem harder work than breakfast should be.

Second nature to me. Like when cooking, I don’t measure how much salt or herbs or spices i need.

People seem to have very precise amounts of cereal too.

What happens if you don’t have enough milk?

Not good, bad day!!

3 Vita Brits and a small handful of toasted muesli with some cut up banana. The breakfast of champions.

With the milk poured in afterwards of course, I’m not a monster.
