Buddygate

The groin injury and the nose beers have hampered him massively. It’s ok when you’re 27, not 31 and counting.

He cant play on the wing because his legs are as shots his nostrils. He will still have that game here and there where he kicks 6 or 8 but not nearly as often as they need.

Play him at CHB, on those postage stamps they call footy ovals he’d still kick a handful of goals. And atleast they’d have someone capable of kicking to a forward.

He’s about to pass Lloyd and move to 7th all time goal scorer. Have to respect his achievements but he ain’t far from done

Lloyd will surely have the voodoo doll out every time Buddy plays.

Buddy has been a sensational player, close to once in a generation. To be that size and that athletic is incredible and unmatched, imagine how good he winks have been if he focused more on his training.

He was always going to take time to get into form this year, he rarely does any training anymore and relies on match fitness. He’s not that far off it, suspect he will start dominating again soon nose beers or not

The problem then changes to become who to kick to, as they have a lack of KPFs.

They’ve got plenty of them but three of them are young (Melliican -50 games, McCartin -20 games and Blakey -5 games). Sam Reid should be the go-to player but he drops more marks than he holds and is often required in the the ruck.

Sydney’s problem isn’t getting it down there, it’s taking marks inside 50 or keeping it in when it comes to ground.

You don’t want to be playing in defence for Sydney at the moment because you’d barely get a chance to catch your breath it’s down there so much.

He’s cooked

I think Sam Reid would thrive in the backline. Any team lacking in that area would benefit from seeking a trade, is it a standstill st the swans

He spends time in defence during games and does seem to read the play better down back but Sydney would prefer to use him as a marking forward. His last two seasons have been impacted by long stints with injury so perhaps he is lacking confidence or is still coming to terms with the the speed of the game. Sinclair would be an option but is required in the ruck whilst S Naismith is recovering. I reckon they’d prefer to have L FRANKLIN! playing up field but until they can find a reliable target deep, he’s the one to fill the role.

Sydney are in rebuild, losing games and even a marquee player counts for zilch under those circumstances, so they would best be rid of him tbh.

Franklin is cooked but because Sydney have to pay him $1-1.5M a year for the next 3 years and Jesinta does not want to leave Sydney, they will just have to pay him and play him. While he is on the payroll he might even get up for a few cameo games.

You’re cooked.

2m a season would be a bargain. They will re-sign him once this contract comes to and if he’s up to it.

LOL. Delusional or trying to take the pi55 ?

Hang on, are we still talking about Buddy?

Sydneys washed up, like a coconut. Appears hard on the outside, but its got a thin layer of brittle stuff in it and the rest has turned to water.

You’re like a marshmallow. Soft on the outside and even softer in the middle.

Can’t Reid play both ends of the ground?
