RIP Mike Proctor, South African medium-fast bowling all-rounder with the Max Walker-style action.

Thanks to politics we saw only a brief glimpse of him at his best, but him playing for the Rest of The World XI in WSC at least gave him some well-deserved exposure at the highest level (even if it isnā€™t counted as such).

He was one of that lost generation of South African cricketers. Hard men. Kept out of international cricket because of their appalling governmentā€™s policies.
