Celebrity (and not so) Deaths 2024/25

Mate, that is a great rant, but factually misses the mark a fair bit.

His dog’s still missing?

Kelvin Kiptum, 24yo recently crowned marathon WR holder, and heir apparent to the King of the marathon title. In a car accident in Kenya.

Terribly sad news

Very.

I don’t know how I’m going to tell frosty Jr, who has spent so long watching YouTube vids of the marathon records, and he’s been fully invested that Kiptum could break 2 in a real race.

Maybe it wasn’t a simple car accident?

He’s toast

Hopefully he didn’t ask himself to be lowered into a toaster and served to a bunch of college athletes in an act of ritual sacrifice.

If they cremate him, maybe the ashes can erupt into a giant urn.

RIP Mike Proctor, South African medium-fast bowling all-rounder with the Max Walker-style action.

Thanks to politics we saw only a brief glimpse of him at his best, but him playing for the Rest of The World XI in WSC at least gave him some well-deserved exposure at the highest level (even if it isn’t counted as such).

Fans of Mike were called Proctologists.

I’ll get my coat…

He was one of that lost generation of South African cricketers. Hard men. Kept out of international cricket because of their appalling government’s policies.

It’s a pity we missed seeing the best of that era as most were half decent blokes and instead when they were re-admitted to test cricket we got stuck with their contemporaries who were a bunch a ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–

One less far right racist / antisemite going around.
