Yeah, that’s dumb. But also, how pioneering was that show? A real curiosity when it came out, and pretty funny. Unfortunately it lead to us having the worst tv shows from some of the lamest celebrities of all time.
It’s kind of a miracle he lived as long as he did.
He had an incredible life.
I love that he got that last gig. We should all be so lucky.
Fortunately it wasn’t up to Brad Scott
Brads fault that Ozzy died
So grateful that I got to see Sabbath live at Rod Laver in 2016. Will never forget. Dream come true. Second favourite band behind only Pink Floyd. Phenomenal live. Ozzy was still an incredible front man after all these years. He still sounded great. I was sat left of stage close to Geezer’s amp set up and was just an incredible night. One of the very few ‘Celebrities’ I’ve ever given two craps about. A Legend forever. Will never see his kind again.
Just looking that show up now.
The line up was absolutely ridiculous. Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Pantera, Slayer, Alice in Chains, Osbourne and Sabbath. Wow.
When he got that new tv i thought I’d never stop laughing
Paranoid and Master of Reality both have eight tracks…just sayin
cough cough track off…
Gotta finish this one first.
Which I’ll probably get to later tonight.
Not quite to that extent (I think my brain has blended some of the bands from the previous year), but I got to experience this
Did you catch the brief partial Kyuss reunion before Josh Homme was a
?
I got em in Sydney and boy was it rad.
Yeah I did.
Was also the last show Matt Barlow did with Iced Earth.
The year before I remember a crapload of Dio tributes + Until The Light Takes playing on repeat on random screens around the festival lol.
Will no doubt be overshadowed, but George Kooymans from Dutch band Golden Earring, of Radar Love fame, has also passed, at age 77. He’d been struggling with ALS for awhile.
Great finish and what a fantastic song!!
Bobby Bright, of Bobby and Laurie, two days ago of lung cancer. Aged 80. He was my sister’s partner for a while back in the 80s and 90s. Not a bad bloke, and a good actor as well as singer.
RIP
Australian actor Henri Szeps, who appeared on many shows over the years, gone at 81.
His turn as Robert in Mother and Son was outstanding.
Thanks for posting this interview Nino. As a massive Kiss fan myself it was nice to see Gene show some genuine emotion and give a heartfelt tribute to Ozzy and his family.
