Back when we were doing trivia weekly and @mcdav was on our team, I remember him saying he’s asked his mum to put $50 on her for him in one of her cup wins, but she made a blue and put $500 on instead. I think those were the amounts. Might have been more, but it was 20-odd years ago.
Why no floral tributes or money?
I believe after the arson attack they have a very nice trust fund that will keep them going for years. Kyoto animation had their hq firebombed and 30+ people died.
I met Kryton at the EV show recently. Highlight of the show for me. The Red Dwarf episode where Kryton was filming the girls in the change rooms was IMO one of the funniest shows of all time.
It was $500. Those were the days.
