A HIGH profile former athlete has died after a car crash on the Gold Coast.
The sportsman died at Gold Coast University Hospital after being rushed there by ambulance.
The Gold Coast Bulletin is reporting the man — a well known retired sportsman — suffered a medical condition at the wheel.

Dean Mercer ex Uncle Tobys Iron man Champion. I remember him from various cereal boxes.
