Hardly a rollicking start, which has me a bit concerned. Real playing the ball out from the back well, we aren’t really pressing them too high up the pitch. Need a bit more energy…

It’s been a weird 10 minutes or so with these injuries.
Liverpool had all the momentum with Real pushing in spurts but now both have had a disruption, albeit bigger for the Reds but will be interesting to see if either can take advantage of this break.
He’s a dirty ■■■■, always has been. We’ve been able to get in behind a few times with Mane, he will be important.

Amazing save Karius!
Mane might be the perfect to play Ramos as it is, physically he will go toe to toe.
Ball in the net after a Rinaldo header was knocked in by Benzema, but called for offside. Good save by Karius on the initial header from CR7. Still 0-0 nearing the break.
CR7 was offside too but not called.
Benzema wasn’t offside, I thought they called Ronaldo offside but didnt.
We need to get to half time to restructure, have looked all out offensively since Salah left.

They play in little bursts anyway and are very potent which is the threat. A lot of shots when we have completed a bad pass or missed the ball.
Scoreless at the break. Real with a couple of warning signs late with that close offside call and a couple of strikes. We need to get Mane in behind more, he looks our biggest threat.
