The fact that it’s taken us this long to get Caracella back to Essendon, is an indictment on the club.
Pay the money, and get the best assistant coach in the league. Everywhere he has been, has won a Premiership… it’s not a coincidence.

Caracella seems like a very driven and focused guy.
After a few of our wins, when the boys were singing the song, he’s in the background still working. Looking at notes, chatting with Truck etc.

Made the mistake of having a look on the Tigers BF board over lunch.
Expected maybe some analysis of the upcoming matchups, some posts highlighting how great the Dreamtime Game is for recognizing the influence indigenous Australian’s have had on our sport; but nope. 5 pages of ‘hur de durr drugs’.
They’ve obviously turned a corner on field, but their fans are still the biggest smooth brained knuckle draggers around.
The hype surrounding Essendon is real, real in the sense that the game plan and buy in from players are driving significant change in standards, culture and belief. The Eagles win and manner of execution has supercharged player appetite to keep applying lessons learnt in 2021.
Thing is, the outside world can see what’s happening too. Reckon the boys are feeding off that, in a positive way as well.
Hope we beat these fcks
Just ventured over to Richmonds preview thread at big footy lots of drug references and cockyness
He was also like that as a player and was severely underrated. There wasn’t much difference between his best and worst because he was so consistent, he has brought that approach to his coaching. He knows his methods work just a matter of time that a club offers him a senior gig. Hopefully not at pies.
Smith still 3 weeks?
Caldwell still 10?
Why is a hamstring a death sentence for our players?

I must be used to it. I couldn’t figure out how Stringer got back so fast.
Yes I got it I meant in W.A. Go Bombers take it up to these Tigers more like kitty cats.
Knew there was a reason I preferred sitting in the Ponsford.
This will be a really big game for us. Dreamtime always is, but this season even more so. We’ve just beaten West Coast in Perth, which is a fantastic result; but West Coast are a known low-pressure team. This week it’s Richmond, who are a known high-pressure team and with a whole lot of highly experienced and high level talent. They’ve been below their best so far this year, which is why they’re sitting only one place above us and with only one more win. If we can beat them, it will be a better win than against West Coast. And we’ll be in the 8.
I really love the emphasis that Rutten is placing on pressure. We still have patches in games where it drops right off – leading to West Coast’s five goals in a row – but it’s getting better and better. If we can match it with Richmond for four full quarters then we’ll be in with a chance, but that’s a big if. Huge, huge game for us. But then every game for us is huge.
I wouldn’t be making a lot of changes, in fact the minimum. I’d like to have a second ruckman instead of trying to make do with Langford. It didn’t work last week and it won’t work this week. But none of the kids look like they need a rest, and there’s only this one week before the bye, so I wouldn’t be “managing” any of them. Francis for Zerk, maybe.

It looks as though Smith had wrist surgery while out as well? There was a picture with him in some sort of brace. It had been bugging him for a few weeks.
